Edie Barnard of Missouri Charter Public School Association has a difficult job — calling for funding for an advocacy-focused nonprofit can be a hard sell. And with charter school students each receiving $1,100 less in average funding than their public school peers, equitable policies are exactly what’s needed to ensure a quality education for all.
